Even though the CD was in my external hard drive (D:/), the game was acting like it couldn't see it. However, when I tried to play it, I got stuck on the part where it asks you to insert the CD. Although my laptop doesn't have a CD drive, I have an external CD drive and was able to install it fine and set the compatiblity settings (Win 95, color mode, run as admin, etc). Because I'm a hoarder, I still have my Diablo 1 CD (think I got this one in the Diablo 2 battlechest that I got so that my then girlfriend-now wife could play with me). With the release of Diablo 1 on GoG, I got the urge to revisit the original. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
